High quality markers, I like that they come in packs with different colors and are a good middle of the road price. I’ve had packs from prismacolor that I used for years and none have dried out yet. Now my brother uses them too!

Perfect base kit!
I'm not a big user of markers in terms of making art but they are very nice to use when needing some mixed media or more pronounced colors. The pigment is very good and the colors on the kit are very basic for any person to use.

The best way would be to do the pencil sketch or pen first prior to the paint just like what you're already doing. Just give the pen ink a few seconds to dry up completely before applying any paint over it.
