Rated 3 out of 5 by from Lead easily breaks The pencils draw smoothly across the paper, actually very nice. I had an issue with the lead breaking repeatedly on a couple of the pencils under the slightest of pressure. Even with sharpening the minimum amount the leads would continue to break. The couple pencils that did not break worked well and I would actually use in the future as they shaded perfectly.

The shading effect is outstanding, while the weight and feel off this pencil are definitely Artist quality! Love that having used a medium lead makes for mess ups to be easily corrected, recommend to amateur and artist a like.

It comes with 12 graphite lead pencils which are great for sketching and blending. All 12 are different grades and give you different shades and types of lines, and that is a necessity when sketching.

With Prismacolor Premier Turquoise 12 Piece Medium Grade Sketch Pencil Set, you have the highest quality leads that range from soft to hard. These go on smooth and cores don't crack or break. Most pencils I’ve tried in the past when sharpening constantly break, frustrating!! This resulted in sharpening over and over before I ever took a stroke. No more, these are a joy to use and I highly recommend them!

Smooth flow, easy to sharpen and easy to erase. No complaints about these. Great quality art pencils and the tin they come in is very beautiful. One of Prismacolors best products.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Work well for time to time use Simple to use, the pigment in it is nice though I don’t appreciate how brittle they are or maybe that’s just how I hold my pencils. They work well in coloring seas and sky. For what what they’re worth they’re pretty good actually. Packing is nice though I don’t like how the pencils themselves are packed and think it could be better.

They allow for me to create the perfect outline with all the details as well. Then I can ink over them for my final piece and remove the turquoise when scanning. An essential tool for today’s artists that mix traditional art with modern computer graphics.

That being said, I do wish the case was a little less cumbersome in that it was maybe a flap on top, so I don't have to have two separate pieces to manage when opening up at a location outside of home.

Drawing is my escape from the world and when I see my work when it's finished I feel amazing, and you need good pencils to make great work, atleast for me. These pencils make my at amazing. There’s a variety of different levels that these pencils come in. The application is smooth and they don’t appear to smudge more than they should. But it can be blended out and it don't smudge until you try making it. Great highly recommend these if you are a drawer or have a little artist

I ordered more sets because my daughter kept using them! This way we each have our own. They’re moms set! I highly recommend.

These are so smooth to draw with and sharpen easily. They are regular sketching pencils, not turquoise colored pencils.
