Rated 3 out of 5 by from Falls flat I can see why this product was made and kind of a cool concept just falls flat to me. I have dabbled with many kinds of writing calligraphy being a big one which is kind of what I thought this product was more geared too but once opened up that is not the case. Although has an awesome pen for it the others are just standard. Especially the thicker. I found it kind of rough using them. The fill in marker is cool but pretty much a sharpie. I would say the pens/pencils write good and still inked up. Overall if wanting a convient collection this is good but just not for me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great set for artists and older children! I was looking for a nice set for my 6th grader, needed more pigment for someone that has issues with pencil pressure and fine motor skills. These were really nice without breaking the bank and allowed more detail since they were softer than what I could pick up at Wal-mart without being too delicate. I did not see any quality issues with splitting or anything else that I read about in some reviews. A good sharp pencil sharpener really goes a long way these though. Think that is the key to any sharpener really. I did use an electric pencil sharpener at 1st but those can really shave off a lot with these so I got out a tiny hand 1 from this compass math set I had which worked surprising well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A professional pencil This 12 set is the perfect starter for a younger artist whose would like to seriously start coloring with shade, tone and value. The larger sets can be added to this as the student grows into the craft. Prismacolored pencils are next level. They are so smooth they blend with less effort than other brands and I have pencils that are years old because they last for a long time. Well worth the cost. One of my favorite things to do with my middle school students is to get to see them use Prismacolors for the first time, they can always see and feel the difference in a great pencil.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best wood crayons Since I was a little girl I always dreamed about having Prismacolor crayons, but unfortunately my parents never had the means to get me a box. Now as an adult I made my dream come true by gifting myself a box of brand new Prismacolor, to my surprise the quality was just as I remembered being a kiddo, what a delight to paint with these crayons, even their basic scholar pencils work like a charm, soft and creamy texture and intense pigments. Sturdy wooden crayons that won’t chip and will definitely worth every cent. My go to recommendation for all colouring lovers of all ages.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best coloring pencils bought these to try for my adult coloring books (a current rage which is very relaxing and therapeutical). I love these Crayola Colored Pencils! I decided to try them because there were so many 24 colors. They come pre-sharpened, which is great because you can start using them immediately. They color beautifully! The points last a long time and don't tend to break easily, as other brands do. They sharpen nicely, once needed. I find them far superior to all the other brands I have tried. I would definitely recommend these to others. Nice box and good pigmentation

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bold, Bright-unbroken! I always have a hard time finding smooth colored pencils that are not only vibrant but blend well, color smoothly, and most importantly DONT break or aren’t broken throughout the interior of the pencil. There’s isn’t anything I find more frustrating then sharpening a colored pencil only for it to break or have broken again and again, usually (of course) it’s always my favorite color to use so I am left with little more than a nub and a pile of useless pencil. Not the Prismacolor! . They are sturdy and work very well on all kinds of different mediums. I highly recommend. I’ve included a few pieces I’ve done using the Prismacolor products but, forgive the photos as it’s incredibly hard to get a good clear picture of a piece that does it true to life justice.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great I’ve used prismacolor colored pencils for a long time. They are soft, pigmented and very blendable. You can use them alone or layer colors on top of each other or along side other mediums like alcohol based markers. I always tell my kids to treat them gently and to take care of them. Careful not to leave them in the heat or a hot car. It will cause the pencil color to separate from the wood and make them very difficult to use after. I personally hate colored pencils but these are life changing for any artist level!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice colors I wanted some color pencils to use with my adult coloring books. I decided to try these Scholar color pencils from Prismacolor. I love the color variations you get in the pack, the colors are somewhat vibrant. They're smooth and they blend and layer nicely. These pencils are easy to sharpen and seem very durable. The case they come in can be used as a stand as well which is nice. Some negatives I found were they are more expensive than your everyday color pencils and I had a few pencils with wood fractures in them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My go to Prismacolor’s primary watercolor pencil offering hits the mark for the most part. The colors you get are deep, creamy, and quite blendable, especially relative to other watercolor pencils on the market. The colors are a bit lacking so blending might be a necessity since they are only available in sets of 12 to 36. However, the prices are more than reasonable and give you a chance to experience a high-end colored pencil brand at a lower monetary barrier to entry. They come in a colorless round exterior.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Prismacolor pencils are an excellent choice for an Prismacolor colored pencils are highly regarded by artists and hobbyists for their smooth application and rich pigments. The colors are vibrant, blend easily, and allow for seamless shading and layering. Thanks to their soft wax-based core, they provide excellent coverage and are perfect for creating gradients and detailed artwork. One of their strongest qualities is the wide range of colors available, from vivid brights to subtle pastels, giving artists great flexibility in their creations. However, the softness of the lead also makes them prone to breaking if too much pressure is applied, so careful handling is recommended. Overall, Prismacolor pencils are an excellent choice for anyone looking for professional-quality results with expressive, intense, and blendable colors.
