Perfect for students of all ages!
I am a licensed art teacher of 6+ years and I absolutely LOVE Prismacolor's water soluble cored pencils. I use them at every painting event for both kids and adults at a variety of venues, because of their mess free nature. Every time I show students how to use these, they are amazed at how much quality can be packed into a colored pencil! I would highly recommend to anyone who might be thinking about trying out a water soluble colored pencil for their own art.

Overall great pencils!
These can have a weird texture if you press too hard and put water on top, and it can be somewhat tricky to sharpen. However, they are vibrant, blendable, and dissolve quite nicely. They need better casing though.

I have been using this set I got for Christmas 2 years ago. I have retired all my other colored pencils. I love the way these pencils lay down on my art work and blending is terrific!

Great basic set
I bought mine a few months back. It’s a small basic set in a sturdy tin case. They are Perfect for home and travel. They are not expensive but the quality is still great.

Clayart: sometime you can find buy/sell/trade groups on Facebook that are very specific - for instance I was in one that was mostly focused on Blackwing pencils. Try searching there - I haven't- or even start a group and make it public. Very easy to do on FB. Good luck!

Why can&rsquo;t you purchase watercolor pencils separately. I love you pencils. If you can purchase colored pencils separately why not watercolor pencils? That is rediculous.

We used to be able to buy them individually (open stock) but around 2015 or 2016 they stopped being available, which sucks. I don&rsquo;t want to have to buy 35 pencils I don&rsquo;t use to get the one pencil I&rsquo;m out of. Exploring other brands for a substitute since they stopped selling these individually. They are excellent quality though.

Hi, Melba. The Prismacolor Premier Water-Soluble Colored Pencils is AP Certified which means they are safe and non-toxic. However, we do not recommend them to have in contact with food or mouth. Have a nice day!
