I have been using Prismacolor colored pencils since I was a student and absolutely love them! The quality of the product really elevates each work produced with them. As a teacher, I love introducing these pencils to my students. They make it easier for students to learn how to blend and mix colors as well as shade with colored pencils. They are superior to many other brands in how they can be used and how they look on paper. My students never want to use any other colored pencils after having used the Prismas! Their work always turns out amazing thanks to the skills they can execute with this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous from Great for a refill! I purchased a prismacolor premiere 72 colored pencil set after a few months of drawing. LIFE. CHANGING. I never went back or tried any other brand. As I continued with commissions I would run out of certain colors but didn’t need to repurchased the whole 72 set because I could find a variety of single pencils at a local store! I can’t tell you how many times I’ve purchased single pencils to refill my stash, but I am so thankful I was able to find them. Recently I did need to purchase the 72 pack again for backups and many colors I was quickly running out of, but finding those single pencils saved me time and time again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Haileymp00001 from You will not find a better brand!! I’ve had so many brands of colored pencils, two of the most popular that I’ve had are Master’s Touch, and Caran D’Ache. Keep in mind that Caran is the worlds most expensive colored pencil brand. But Prismacolor out does them all! I’ve never see pencils blend so well, not to mention the color itself is very vibrant and beautiful! Which are two things that you don’t see often with colored pencils. I truly have yet to see a better brand, and will continue to use prismacolored pencils through the rest of my art career! I highly recommend buying them, they are worth every cent!

Rated 5 out of 5 by StudioMikarts from Love being able to refill my colored pencil sets I'm the type of artist who likes to have the largest range of colors possible to work with, so I always start out with big art media sets, one large purchase of a single kit. But eventually certain colors always run out much sooner than others, and that's what makes these single pencils my go-to purchase now. I go through skin tones, white (awesome for gentle highlights on marker pieces!), and colorless blenders much faster than other colors. I also enjoy supplementing my sets with colors that weren't included, when I notice a nice one thatI'd like to try.

These pencils are so easy to use, easy to blend with, and easy to FALL IN LOVE WITH! It’s because of these pencils that I began my portrait art journey. Heck, I’ve used these pencils so many times, if you showed me a random color, I’d be able to name it with a Premier pencil! I’ve never seen a color pencil brand offer so many colors, some I never even knew existed! I’ve been drawing portraits for 6 years now, and I’ve got no one else but Prismacolor to thank for this incredible journey! I was a total beginner when I started using these pencils and now I’ve grown so much. Be warned: buying these pencils may turn you into a professional artist!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Lulu from My favorite pencils since the 1980's Although I had worked with colored pencils for years I was never really satisfied with the outcome until one one of my college teachers introduced me to them. One of our assignments had us use only black and white pencils on Fadeless colored paper to teach us how shading added depth to image. Since then I only buy Prismacolor pencils for myself, and to give as gifts to others who want to try their hand at drawing. I have close to 200 colors in my pencil collection, but will happily add more as I can afford to.

Rated 5 out of 5 by elm12 from Best colored pencils I’ve ever used! I use Prismacolor Soft Core Colored Pencils for pretty much all of my artwork. These colored pencils are by far better than any other brand that I have ever used. They provide a smooth blend and can also provide the fine detail I need in my pieces. These pencils hold up for a long time. The singles are also perfect for simply replacing my most used colors within my larger set collections. These pencils are great for committed beginners or professionals. I will forever be a Prismacolor colored pencil user!

Rated 5 out of 5 by deelydrawings from Great for all levels of art I have been using prismacolor colored pencils for as long as I can remember. In high school I experimented with them as a medium, but when I started college I switched my primary medium and no I use them all the time. They are great for color layering and for high saturation in artwork. The color application is so smooth! People always ask what materials I use because of how well my pieces turn out. Overall I am more than satisfied with my experience with the pencils and I’d recommend to anyone.
