Perfect for fine details and layering!
The Prismacolor Verithin set of 24 is a fantastic addition to any artist’s toolkit — especially if you love working with clean lines and detailed drawings. These pencils have a much harder core than regular Prismacolors, which means they stay sharp longer and allow for precision work without smudging.
The color payoff is more subtle compared to soft-core Prismacolors, but they layer beautifully and are ideal for adding crisp edges, outlines, and texture. I use them to complement my regular Prismacolors, and they work great together.
Durable, sharp, and professional. Highly recommend for illustrators, designers, and coloring book fans!

For clean crisp work.
The Prismacolor Verithin pencils are totally different from the regular soft-core sets—and that’s a good thing if you’re into detailed work. These have a harder, thinner core, so they’re perfect for outlining, fine lines, lettering, and tight details that softer pencils can smudge or blur.
They don’t lay down pigment as heavily as the regular Prismacolors, but they layer beautifully and sharpen to a perfect point. I like using them to add definition after blending with softer pencils.
If you're expecting rich, buttery color like the Premier line, you might be underwhelmed—but for clean, crisp work and coloring in small spaces, Verithins are amazing.

As someone who does a lot of detailed coloring and illustration work, this set of Prismacolor Verithin Colored Pencils has become a go-to in my art supply collection. The harder, thinner cores are ideal for adding crisp outlines, intricate patterns, and small accents that softer pencils often can’t handle without smudging or breaking.
The 24 assorted colors are vibrant, well-selected, and layer beautifully—especially when combined with regular Prismacolor Premier pencils. Awesome Prismacolor Verithin Colored Pencils, Red/
Since Lex is now in college studying illustration, she has wanted some Prismacolor Verithin Colored Pencils, Red/Blue, for some time now. So, about a week or two ago, I bought her a set, and she has enjoyed doing her work with them.
She loves how the richly pigmented of these pencils show on her work; the double-ended Colored Pencils, Blue/Red, are great to have right on hand when needed.
They are very sturdy; lead resists breakage, very vivid with color, thin, which makes them easy to grip and maneuver around good during her artwork, hardened cores for refined artwork, and very colorful and overall geat colored pencils!

Colorfast, Durable, Incredible Pro Art Product!
These are by far the BEST colored pencils I've ever used. They are creamy, blend beautifully and have an excellent array of colors. I have used these to the nub! I still have my first set from 25 years ago! They last incredibly long. I've always wanted the wooden case set, but I've purchased the tin and boxed sets. I love the velvet sleeves inside. You pay for what you get. I ABSOLUTELY recommend these; from a learning standpoint to professional artist. I have won multiple shows/competitions from using Prismacolor as my preferred medium. I have art from 30 years ago that has never faded. Definitely worth buying! Everyone is capable of art...not math...but absolutely art! :)
