  • Tell me about yourself, why did you choose to explore art?

Art has always been an interest to me, through many ways: film, photography, paints. As an artist I can create a piece that tells a story, that’s important to me that I have an opportunity to share it with others.

  • Do you want to pursue art as a career?

I would like to introduce myself to many fields of art so that I can decide which one defines me. I would like to pursue art as a career: as an art director in both film and photographs. My artwork refers to fashion and history. I like to incorporate modern ideas as well as things from the past. Currently I am working on several things.

  • What kind of tools and materials do you use? Why?

I mostly enjoy using acrylic paints, the colors are very rich and the piece comes more to life.

  • What in daily life inspires you?

Fashion is the biggest inspiration to me, I think a lot can be said through fashion. I always go through magazines and not only pay attention to the clothes but also the background of the photographs, the mood, the colors, etc.

  • Do you listen to music when you are in the creative process? Who?

I do listen to music when I am in the creative process; the music differs depending on what kind of piece I’m working on. If its something calm my music is generally peaceful, and when my piece has a lot of colors and speaks loudly, then the music has to have a fast beat to it.

  • What is the purpose of art for you?

For me the purpose of art is to show a different side of the world. It is to create something in a way others haven’t seen before, and it will change their view of how they see things.

  • Does critique help you grow and push the work forward?

Critique definitely helps me grow and push the work forward. To me it matters how people feel and what they think when they look at my artwork, it helps me understand what I’ve done and how my piece affected others.
